“Bruce Lee, My Brother”, a biopic that focuses on the youth of this world-renown kung-fu icon of all time had started shooting on June this year. Funded by a consortium of studios from Hong Kong and mainland China, the film is budgeted at US4.5m. It will be co-directed and produced by Manfred Wong and Raymond Yip. At a press conference held in Hong Kong on June 21, Wong told reporters that the script had taken four years to prepare. Attention Bruce Lee fans! A new biopic of the world’s favorite martial artist is coming out in November from MediaAsia as told by the folks who knew him best, his family. As told by his brother, Robert Lee, the biopic Bruce Lee, My Brother will tell the story of Bruce Lee before he was forced to leave Hong Kong for San Francisco.

Produced by Checkley SIN, the producer of IP Man series,  stars IP Chun, the eldest son of Master IP Man, as Leung Pik, IP Man’s second Wing Chun master, Dennis TO Yu Hang, the youngest World Kung Fu Champion of Hong Kong who plays the young IP Man and FAN Siu-wong, who also performed in the IP Man series.

It is about around Ip Man’s resistance against invading foreigners, along with his romantic relations while under the tutelage of three Wing Chun masters. Still, as previous Ip Man movies, it didn’t really show case what is Wing Chun.
