A second, longer trailer has been released for upcoming martial arts drama THE KARATE KID, starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan in a remake of the 1984 family classic.

It continues to look good with increasing potential to be Chan’s best Hollywood production to date. I still have issues with the misleading title but it appears that Sony is determined to stick with the original even though what Smith is being taught in the film is kung fu/wushu.

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for director Harald Zwart’s THE KARATE KID, starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.

The remake has retained the original title, a bit of the story line, but it totally non-karate… Everything is wushu. Even the training by Jackie to Jaden is wushu. So why the title?

The movie won’t be release till June, but here’s a trailer and you see it for yourself…
