Behind the Paper
It has been more then a week. There is no direct comment from Singapore Wushu Dragon and Lion Dance Federation (SWDLF) on the issues and concern raise by many with regards to Mr Lee (43) being noticed by SWDLF to re-take his Wushu Coaching Certificate (news from OMY.sg)
Following that, Mr Lee presented a letter to SWDLF via SgWutan and 2 news was release from ZaoBao.com ( source 1 / source 2 ).
Seriously, what is the role of SWDLF when it comes to certifying coaches, either Wushu, Dragon or Lion Dance? Do we really need to be certified by SWDLF in order to provide such coaching?
No updates from SWDLF
After the 3rd World Junior Wushu Championship 2010, I wrote an email to our SWDLF requesting them to release competition results 5 days ago. Till date, nothing from them. I received email from around the world asking me for those information.
I copy & paste the email that I wrote to SWDLF:
Only The Best for National Wushu Meets (M’sia)
360 wushu exponent, who are the cream of the crop from Malaysia had competed in this year’s Da Ma Cai National Wushu Championships, held at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium in Cheras on Aug 22-24.
They compete in three disciplines – taolu (barehands and weapons), traditional taichi and sanshou (Chinese boxing).
I have attached 2 video clips found on youtube that show case a superior performance of new style sports wushu from our neighbouring country.
How Bad Are You?
Don’t worry much, I’m not pointing figure at you reading my post. I’m actually referring to the National Sports Association (NSA) that is the highest authority for the promotion of Wushu Sports in Singapore, which include wushu, lion dance, dragon dance, qigong, etc. etc… Objectives in unifying various wushu organizations of different schools; to promote wushu, lion dance, dragon dance and qigong; to promote physical fitness and patriotism among Singaporeans; and to develop the martial spirit.
